Regency Titleholder’s will be Grand Marshall at the 17th Annual Parade of Lights Parade

Houston, Texas – The Regency International Pageant is thrilled to announce that the 2014 Titleholders will be this year’s Grand Marshalls of the 17th Annual TVFRF’s (Texas Volunteer Firefighter’s Relief Fund) Parade of Lights on Sunday December 7, 2014 at 6 p.m. Titleholders, Mrs. Kimberly Bond, Miss Erica Ramirez, Miss Teen Kayltin Amubal, and Little Miss Maurielle Vargas, are thrilled about being this year’s Grand Marshalls.  The parade takes place from 6 to 9:30 from Loch Katrine down Highway 6 to Cy Falls High School. Several Thousand families will line the streets along Hwy 6. The parade will also include rescue trucks, aerial trucks, wreckers, fire trucks, ambulances, various floats, 18-wheelers and commercial vehicles, and the one person all children are waiting to see Santa!

The Parade will end at the Cy-Falls High School and after the procession; snacks, hot cocoa, t-shirts and caps will be sold with all the proceeds from the parade going to the Texas Volunteer Firefighter’s Relief Fund.

Every year the parade gets bigger, although 90 percent of the organization’s members are from Cy-Fair, the organization strives to help volunteers all over Texas. “When we started this event 17 years ago, it was The Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department Relief Fund, 7 years ago we changed our name and opened the Texas Volunteer Relief Fund so we may help all Texas Volunteer Firefighters.” said Rodney Crosby.

Crosby says the main reason they started the organization is because volunteers don’t receive worker’s compensation as a regular employee would. If they are injured, it comes out of their own pockets.

In addition Crosby says “We’re always looking for sponsor to help the firefighters across Texas.”

If you have a business or organization enter the parade and get lots of exposure and help out a great cause!

Regency Titleholders Attend Macy’s Event

HPPL EVENT FOR MACYSMrs. Kimberly Bond and her rescue dog Jax, along with Miss Erica Ramirez and her rescue dog Thor were also joined by Teen Kayltin Amubal, and Little Miss Maureen Vargas. The Regency International Titleholders and their pets attended the Macy’s 9th annual Shop for a cause Event at Memorial City Mall on August 23, 2015. The Shop for a cause Event was a hugh success raising more than 3.4 Million for the March of Dimes and other Local Charities across the country.  Everyone that shops on that day gets 25% off most everything, there are a few exclusions. And the timing was perfect, it was the weekend before school started in Houston, so everyone could get what they needed for school and help with a great cause.

The Shop for the cause Event included several different Charities from Houston. The Regency International Titleholders were there to help the Homeless Pet Placement League the animal charity that the pageant has chosen to support. Here is the list of charities at this year’s event at Memorial City. D.R.E.A.M. Dachshund Rescue, Foundation Fighting Blindness, Gary Tilton firefighter Training Fund, Greater Houston German Shepherd Dog Rescue, Greater Works Missions, HALTER INC, Houston Council of the Blind, Houston Eye Associates Foundation, Houston Founder Lions Club, Homeless Pet Placement League, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, PEO Chapter GG, Sigma Kappa Foundation-Houston Alumnae, Starlette Booster Club, The Monarch School.

Jax and Thor were the center of attention at the HPPL table. Jax a lab/mix rescue from HPPL would greet all the people with a high five or a paw shake.   Thor a rescue form the Shih Tzu rescue was a little more shy, he just wanted everyone to pet and hold him. Several people wanted to adopt both of them, but Mrs. and Miss Regency said sorry, but they are ours. And informed everyone that there were several other great animals that needed loving homes and gave them HPPL info about fostering or adopting a pet.

The HPPL works with veterinarians to provide quality care for all of their rescued animals. Veterinarians assisting the HPPL are reimbursed for their services by the organization according to a set fee schedule. The majority of the HPPL budget goes toward providing veterinary care, including spay/neuter, for the animals. Since the HPPL does not require that a fee be paid to admit an animal into the foster program, they are entirely dependent upon private donations from member and nonmembers.   The Regency International Pageant instead of charging people an admission fee to their pageants, are asking that on the day of the pageant you give a donation in lien of a admission ticket to the pageant. All monies collected will be given to HPPL in order for them to keep up the good work, so they will be able to help many, many, more.   Pet smart and Petco stores in Houston graciously letting HPPL do adoptions in there stores.

They are also in need of volunteers, please go to their website at www.hppl.org and become a volunteer or donate today.   On February 21, 2015 at the Crown Plaza, Northwest Freeway in Houston, TX, the first prelim of the year South Central Regency International and July 30 thru August 1, 2015 in the Woodlands, TX The Regency International Pageant will both be waiving the admission to the pageant for a donation to HPPL.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEhppl

July 24, 2014

Houston, Texas – The Regency International Pageant is thrilled to announce that the pageant has team up with Homeless Pet Placement League (HPPL) in an effort to help Houston’s homeless pets. Pageant owner, Terri Dingle, along with Titleholders, Mrs. Kimberly Bond, Miss Erica Ramirez, Teen Kayelyn Arambula, and Little Maurielle Vargas, feel very strong about supporting local animal charities. They chose HPPL, the nonprofit animal welfare organization, after HPPL helped Kimberly with two abandoned puppies that were found near her work in December of 2013. The organization provides for the rehabilitation and adoption of stray and abandoned dogs and cats. They do not operate as a shelter; the animals are cared for in the homes of those who rescue them. The rescuer serves as the foster parent until the animal is adopted into a permanent home. HPPL also provides assistance to pet owners who are unable to assume the cost of spaying/neutering their animals. HPPL also supports other animal welfare organizations in the area that need further assistance.

Houston’s Homeless Pet Placement League works with veterinarians to provide quality care for all of their rescued animals. Veterinarians assisting HPPL are reimbursed for their services by the organization according to a set fee schedule. The majority of HPPL’s budget goes toward providing veterinary care, including spay/neuter, for the animals. Since the organization does not require that a fee be paid to admit an animal into their foster program, they are entirely dependent upon private donations from member and nonmembers to continue their work. HPPL is also in need of volunteers, please go to their website at www.hppl.org and become a volunteer or donate today.

PetSmart and Petco stores in the Houston area, graciously host HPPL’s Adoption days in their stores, to further aid in helping the animals find their “Forever Homes”. If you are interested in adopting a loving dog or cat, please visit HPPL’s website at www.hppl.org to find the next adoption day in your area.
